"Ray" Pic Needs to Change on Shop page.

When shopping on Quirky, the picture for "Ray" does not represent well what the product is. I've passed over it many times just because the pic does not clearly show what the product is. Think pic should be changed to the one that shows the product plugged into a cell phone and highlighting kickstand. I like the name "Ray" but it does not give idea as to what the product is so the picture needs to be more explicit.

Hey Doris. Thanks for the feedback. Our creative and media teams work hard to highlight the best features of our products through an array of images. We believe these pictures provide a great look at what Ray will look like when it arrives. Keep in mind, we will update those images if/when Ray comes out of presale. But for now, the current product page seems to be garnering a lot of attention, commitments, and praise.

That's fine, Bobby, but I don't see how anyone can tell what that item is by looking at that pic unless they are already familiar with the product. So, hopefully, the creative and media teams are showing these pics to people who have never seen or heard of this product. I suspect the current commitments are more due to the community's interest and their spreading the word than it is from that pic on the shop page. But, I understand that the teams are working on these kinds of things so I will leave it to them in the future. :-)

Personally, I would chalk it up to all the pictures together. I see the airplane pic as the attention grabber. And the other pictures in the gallery show the phone functionality, as well as the kickstand. Pair this with the product description, and I'd say it sums it up pretty well. But everyone's POV is different! We always appreciate some constructive criticism so please feel free to offer it when you think it is needed. :)

An "airplane" pic? Is that what that is? I'm serious, until you told me that, I had no idea what it was! I thought something was stuck to a car window, seriously! :-) Just wonder how many people who've never heard of the product recognize that as an airplane pic? Ok, Bobby, thanks for replying so quickly and so graciously. Have a great day.

Actually I think we're talking about two different pictures. Haha! The car picture is displayed on Ray's product page. The airplane picture is displayed as Ray's preview image on the Shop page. :)
    • Now that would be funny wouldn't it. :-) But, I was referring to the pic on the Shop page as the one that I thought something was stuck to a car window. Until you told me I had no idea that it was an airplane window. But, the pic that shows Ray attached to the car window with a cell phone plugged into it is the one that made me grasp the concept of Ray. IMHO it should be on the Shop page but I understand that the team has in-depth knowledge that I don't possess. :-)

The only reason I made the comment in the first place was that I saw that pic every time I went to the Shop page and finally decided to click into the item just to see what it was. And, even after I clicked into the item and saw all of the other pics, I still thought the Shop page pic was showing Ray stuck to a car window. :-) Now, I'm beginning to question my eyesight! :-)
