How does quirky choose ideas and what does it mean if I have influence?How do I benefit? Thanx :)

Hey Linda. Members of the Quirky staff sort through all ideas, giving special consideration to ideas with a large amount of votes. If we find ideas that intrigue us, we'll mark them as being Under Consideration. Every Friday we evaluate a handful of these ideas and choose the ones we're going to develop into Quirky products. When we evaluate these final ideas, we're looking for a particular set of qualities that will make that product a world changing innovation.
In regards to influence, here's a few words from our FAQ section:
"Influence is a real-time measure of your contributions to a project. You can earn influence either by submitting a winning idea, or by supporting and refining that winning idea...
Quirky shares 30 percent of all top line revenue brought in by direct sales on quirky.com, as well as 10 percent of indirect retail sales revenue, with each product's influencers." The amount of influence you've earned will decide how much of that revenue will go to you.
