Enhancement Idea for the website.

One line enhanced voting. example * I like the idea, * I can see my self owning one, *I would buy one to give as a gift. * Its about time some one came up with this Idea. Keep it short though. One line with 4 or 5 boxes.

This could help with the initial evaluation process.

Hey Jason, thanks for getting in touch!

The comment section at the bottom of each idea page was made exactly for this purpose: folks can place their vote, and then write any suggestions or critiques they might have in the comment box. This gives other users the option to agree/disagree with a certain comment, and provides the inventor with an opportunity to answer as well. Quirky is all about collaborative thinking, so we want to have a system that encourages as much discussion as possible!

Thanks again for your patience Jason, I hope that this answer was helpful! Let me know if you had something else in mind though.

So far, Quirky has avoided sending out e-mail notifications for voting and comments, because a sudden swell of activity on someone's idea page could fill up that user's e-mail inbox. That being said, we agree that folks shouldn't have to regularly check ideas for updates on new comments, so a notification system (similar to the one used by Facebook) has been under discussion. Keep your eyes peeled on the blog and Twitter account for announcements!
