Hi I posted and idea and only got one response, is there something else I need to do so the quirky community can at least look at it.....a little new to this...thank you

3Hi Barbara! Certainly there are things you can do to get your idea noticed. Share it with family and friends, post on social networking sites and you can also post it on the "pimping" thread on the Quirky.com Forums here. -
1Hey Barbara! I would definitely second Cody's recommendation about visiting the Quirky.com Forums and posting it in the "pimping" thread that he linked. It's also a great place to meet awesome fellow Quirks like Cody who will be happy to guide you along your way!

Thank you for answering, I feel really alone out here, not to good with all the technology as most of you...I have made a few of these for friends, its a good idea so everyone tells me...once you place it on social media the idea can be taken by someone, that is why I went with Quirky, thought it would be safe here.

Thank you so much Chris for trying to steer me in the right direction but I only have this iPhone to try to accomplish this and if is a little difficult. Everytime I try to get to primping products it brings me to dead end. I will keep trying again thank you

trying to submit my idea again on iphone is asking for another $10 it that necessary when I already paid to join? or is the phone app different?

I think you may find this topic useful. Also, ideas tend to get traction in the first few days because ideas that are just submitted will show up in the Newest Sort allowing them to gain some attention. Additionally, as ideas are about to expire they come to the top of the "Ending Soonest" sort for another go around.

What is the best way to get noticed? I am sure I have a money maker, but I feel like it may be lost in the number of submissions here...

confused
1I'm also finding it a little frustrating not to be able to figure out how to better convince more people of the awesomeness of my idea amongst the 1000+ submitted this week. I thought the in-line pimping was okay as well- so that's been a learning experience. I think I will put my idea into my profile so that when people look at my profile they can at least find my idea there.
Any other ideas? I think as the community grows and grows it will be more difficult to get a lot of attention to any one idea no matter how good it is.

How do we know if the Quirky staff has even reviewed it? Given the tide of ideas, I am more worried about the Quirky people than the community seeing it- there's no way for them to review them all objectively.

So I have been asking for feed back from quirky members who have ideas I like and who have ideas in the same realm as mine. Now I find out that is pimping. Also noticed ideas quickly get lost in the shuffle. So is it wrong to ask for input? I am looking for honest feed back. I have made a lot of quirky friends so far and have also given a lot of Ideas and improving thoughts to other quirkinites. The process if fascinating but I don't want to do it wrong. I know the rules have also changed and a lot of the older blogs and videos are no longer correct. The system has changed. A new picture has been painted in an old frame but the old one is still showing through. I have a bit of vertigo.
