How do I add or embed a video to my idea submission?
I want to add a video to my submission, how do I do that? What about if I want to add one after I've already submitted?

So you're ready to be a star on Quirky, huh? Here's our step-by-step guide to add a video to your submission:
1. Upload your video to a video hosting site like YouTube.
2. Find your video’s HTML embed code... most hosting sites provide one for you. On YouTube, there's an Embed button right underneath the video. Click it to get the code for your video.
3. Copy and paste that embed code right into the text of your submission.
4. Make sure your video is the right size for Quirky! Change your video’s dimensions to width to “425′′ and height to “355′′ in two places: at the top of the code and the bottom.
If you already saved your idea and want to add a video, follow the instructions above to get the embed code for your video. Then edit your idea to include that video code in the text of your submission.

I uploaded the file of the video from my computer, but I've seen other people with youtube videos, so I'm not sure where I went wrong.

I've been trying to post a video of my idea using the embedded webcam app/video up load. this is my third time trying. I don't like the idea of using Utube. Help? I can figure out how to explain my idea effectively using words alone.

Hey Dan. I've merged your comment with this post. Uploading your video to Youtube or a similar video hosting site will be necessary step if you'd like to make it available in your submission.

Video uploads aren't supported. At the bottom of the submission form it states that we only accept JPG, GIF, or PNG files no larger than 10mb. See above for info on how to attach videos.

Hi...
I submitted my invention yesterday along with photos, drawings and a YouTube video (as suggested) showing my product, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzQjIe...) but the video is not available on the Participate page. Could you please advise how I correct this? Thank you so much.

Hey Ileen, see above for instructions on how to embed your video. I see that you tried uploading the video which is not supported. Only images can be uploaded at this time.

When you log into YouTube, clickt the "Share" button underneath the video. Then click on "Embed". Change the dimensions - under custom, type in the suggested size of "425 width x 355 length". I could not get those dimensions, so I clicked on the "420 x 315" button. After you've made the changes to your videos dimension, copy and paste the entire embed code (not YouTube link) into your problem or solution box - if you put it in your character description or "pitch" box, you won't have room for your "pitch". Good luck.
