I received a Cloak that was damaged (small pin broken). I want to return it for a full refund. I sent an email 2 days ago to questions.quirky.com asking how to return it, but have not yet received anything other than a canned reply "we're working on it".
Help, please!

So sorry about that! We're working on processing all incoming emails as they come in, but we are working through a bit of a backlog. If you haven't already heard from us, you will by the end of the day.

I received my cloak broken in the box, I contacted you and was told a new unit would be shipped august 24th, when the black units came off back order. I have not been contacted by you since. Please send the new unit as soon as possible, or I will be forced to as for a full refund. So far, I am NOT impressed with quality control or customer service.

My iPad Cloak is irretrievably broken. It fell off my chair (maybe two feet off the ground) and hit the floor on the corner. The lid twisted off, and both plastic pins are now so bent that I can't re-attach it. I bought the Cloak specifically to protect my iPad from tumbles. Can I get a refund? Thank you.

purchased the Cloak last June 2010 and was very satisfied with it until now. One of the plastic pins holding the two halves together came off. I am not a young man and do not "throw" my things around so that this plastic pin came off with normal use. Upon further inspection, this seems like a weak part and should be more substantial considering that it is the focal point of a lot of use. I cannot use this product as it is. Please advise me of the next step.

I contacted you a while ago regarding my cloak. I love it but it broke off it's hinges. There was no physical abuse to it. I just think over time the plastic will break. is it possible to either return this for you to see and send me another one because I do like it and have given your website to numerous people who like it also.

My Cloak did not last long. First the low plastic riser was hard to flip out, then one of the small plastic pins broke off so it was a goner. Then I dropped my iPad with the cloak onto my desk, not the floor mind you, so it fell about 12"-15" and this snaped the hard cover pins right off. So I will get a new cover, but not a Cloak.

I know exactly what you mean. My small flip out plastic riser bar broke at the plastic pin and then later the whole cover broke off at the plastic pins. This portion of the product WAY under designed.

Hey Lori, I just emailed you to confirm shipping address so that we can replace the parts that you need. We'll make things right!

Hello,
Cloak order number 19046 (2010-08-02 09:37:33 -0400) - unfortunately, the spoke on the left hinge has snapped-off of my case. It doesn't hold the flap anymore and all I'm left with is the rubber cover.
Can I purchase this part to repair this case? I LOVE this case and hate to be without the flap.
PLEASE HELP.

I'm in the same situation as Jack above--the top cover of my Cloak snapped off while I was trying to stand it up to watch a video today--the right hing snapped off. I've loved my Cloak thus-far and rely on it to protect my iPad. What can I do to get it repaired?
Thanks!

Hello -
How do I get a new Cloak, or piece for my Cloak?
I purchased a Black Cloak in the past year. I'm very fond of the product/design in general. However, the small grey fold-out piece that places the iPad at a typing angle snapped off and broke (the pin area).
How can I either get a replacement Cloak, or a replacement piece (if a full replacement is not an option)?
Thanks.

Like many others, I've had a hinge pin snap off--mine is the lower hinge when the cover is in "portrait" orientation and opening to left. Please advise.

I bought the cloak over a year ago and it has been a great travel case and overall ipad cover. The pins in the plastic hinge have broken and I was wondering what I need to do to get a replacement part.
Thanks so much!-

Had a hinge pin on the smaller support stand break 3 weeks after purchase and the solution was to send more stands. Not the best solution for a manufacturing flaw but OK. Now, the main pivot hinge pin for the protective cover has snapped. No impact, just normal usage. It's been about a year since original purchase and I'm loosing faith in this product.
After looking at the other pin that wasn't broken, I see that it is cracked and about to break. What are my options with this kind of failure?
I own 4 other Quirky product with no issues at all. I think you missed the boat in the manufacturing design of this one.

Hi..
I got my cloak last year. Both pins are broken off the front cover. Can I get just the front cover from you? And please let me know how I can re-attach to the main body. Please let me know, I have a few ipad covers, but I use this one the most.
Thank you

Similar to the last post, the pins on my Cloak that hold the two main panels together just gave out on me. Hoping there is some fix or replacement for this.
Unfortuantely I can't seem to update my email address in the Quirky system, so I can't be reached through the one associated with my account. If there is an address I can contact someone at Quirky please let me know.-
The easiest way is to send an email to questions@quirky.com or call 1-866-5QUIRKY
