happy I’m happy

kickstarter version

I think that the way this should work rather than allow other users to put up the submission fee allow other users to contriubute enough money to move it into production regardless of how the voting went.

For example, it seems like a lot of people are not happy about the shopping cart being the next product, so what if enough people put in money to get an idea they do like into the design phase. Kinda like allowing pre sales for an idea that hasn't even been developed yet. Quirky could set the cost at say $1000 maybe $2000 dollars if enough users kick in then they design the product. Using the cash from the supporters to go toward their own pre sale purchase.

I know that their have been submissions that I would have supported because I thought they were a great idea for a product. Once a product has a certain amount of support it stays available for people to invest in for a while the same way kickstarter works.

tried to post this on the peer to peer thread, but it always tells me to log in.
