Make submissions anonymous, or at least have the ideator's name less prominent.

In theory, this will even the playing field and give newbies a better chance at competing with the regulars (who will naturally get more support).

I would be all for this because I do feel like there is a popularity contest going on here. It is also a seniority issue. If the submissions were anonymous then it would take a lot of campaigning in the backyard on IMs to get the votes. I think that the ideas would be able to stand on marketability and viability better on their own and deserve the votes they acquire. I also think that the responses or comments should be anonymous as well so that there isn't a bandwagon that follows the same popularity thing. I feel that the playing field would become totally even and the products that bubble up to the top +5 would be the best ideas worth pursuing on Quirky.
