Shirley, I meant withdrawing available balance not paying for goods. No PayPal for withdrawals?

Whoops sorry, working too quickly!

This is the first request I've heard of for PayPal as a payout option. I'll leave this thread open for consideration, to see who else would want to see this happen.

This will save a lot of money & time for the community, especially outside the US! Please let me know ASAP you get news on this, thanks a lot, Shirley!!

Seems like a no-brainer to me. Nearly everyone uses Paypal and it would make Quirky a more attractive proposition for overseas members.

Glad to hear the interest. We'd love to add this as an option. As I understand, Paypal takes a cut of the money. We'll do our best to implement, but only if it will make sense for our business margins!
-
-
Yes, please implement this! As far as I know B2B charges are about 1-3% and B2C is 0% for most countries. Even if you have some charges you can put them on us. Anyway it should be less than $30 which is wire transfer fee today.
-
We're looking into all options, and definitely aware that people would like this. :)

Paypal might take a small fee but us international Quirkers have to pay big to get your checks put into our accounts (in Australia at least) and PP would be a lot less.

Shirley ... I receive royalties through PayPal from other companies, so it's most probable it will make feasible business sense for Quirky, as well. There's no fee deducted for the Recipient, however the Sender (Quirky) will pay a small fee (2% of the payment amount, capped at $1 per payment). Here's the page on PayPal's site with all the info --> Click here.
I'm sure most Quirky members wouldn't mind paying the 2% or max. $1.00 per payment fee if it meant getting their royalties through PayPal (as Imants mentioned above, some already pay much more via their money transfers). Since you can use a data file/spreadsheet to mass send the payments, there will be no time-consuming additional labor involved for you (in fact, it should alleviate some of the work currently allocated towards this aspect).
You will probably find many U.S. members opting into this PayPal method, as well (not only International members). -
-
Please, please, please allow this! It works quite well for Second Life, it seems! As an international member, I have *no idea* how to get paid by filling in those forms - how am I supposed to get a tax ID number if I'm not in the US at all? Second Life has never threatened to withold taxes for a country I would not normally be expected to pay income tax in when I've gotten paid by PayPal!

I am a US member who would like the option to both pay and receive through Paypal. From that point of view it helps to centralize my security and prevent mixing up expense and income categories on the card I use. I wouldn't mind splitting the fee with you . I am willing to postpone worrying about the fee by the time it gets really big (not a factor yet)

Any news regarding PayPal as payout option? As you can read international and US users will appreciate this very much. It shouldn't be too complicated to add I guess..

^bump
Could you also check into www.Dwolla.com as a payment option? They will save the COMPANY of Quirky a LOT of money and is cheap for consumers as well.
Please address the people in this thread with a courtesy update! -

I am a Dwolla member and it is only .25 per transaction. Under $10.00 is free.

Paypal for international members can be really good. I see no reason for not using it.
-
-
The only reason to not use it, is because while they continue to use their current ridiculously complicated scheme of requiring everyone that wants to get paid any amount at all to file incomprehensible forms with the US government to be able to fill in *their* form (rather than just ticking a box saying "Not American and I'll deal with this tax-wise with my own country, thanks" on a "please send my check" page), people who aren't making very large amounts of money will just sit around, not file the forms, and wait until PayPal is available.
This means they get to keep our money indefinitely, ie: as long as they don't give us PayPal as an option.
A couple hundred bucks here and there from a few hundred or thousand non-Americans and maybe there's just not much incentive to it. Free money and all. -

Is there anybody out there? Hi, international member who would *like their money* here, can't get paid until you get this thing working so we don't have to have American tax ID numbers, because it's not like *you're* handing them out or giving us any clue as to how we can fill out those forms...
Paypal, *please*. The longer this goes on, the more irritating this gets. -
