How to hide and bookmark/save ideas
What happens to an idea after I click the X in the top right corner to "delete" someone's idea from the participation page? Is it possible to go back through those submissions at some point to give fourth consideration? Since ideas are able to be edited for 30 days it would be nice to be able to go through them again to see if any changes they made may cause me to throw a vote their way. Thanks!

Hey Claire! If you click the X on the top right corner of an idea on the Participation page, it simply minimizes the idea and will stay that way until you click on the box to bring it back. This would be a good way to mark ideas you have seen already.

Now on to the fun part! If you want to return to ideas that you find intriguing you can utilize our bookmark function.
There are two ways to save an idea:
1. Entering the idea page and clicking on "Save" which is under the "Vote for this" button
2. On the main participation page where all the ideas are listed you can click the "Save" button
To filter and access the ideas that you saved simply click on "Filters" and sort by "My Saved."

the window is just minimized and can be brought back to full-size by clicking on the box.

I think you misunderstood her. I think she was talking about the button on the “participation” page.

Hey Dave! Thanks for pointing that out to me! I've updated the response.

We need to have a way to "hide"/"say no" to ideas we know we don't like, so they don't keep coming up when pulling up all the ideas. Then, people can come in, and easily see all the ideas they haven't either voted on, saved, or said "no" to.

Thanks on that Chris... I did figure that out... although, I am noticing that some of the ideas don't have an "X"... why is that?

I'm not finding that issue. If you run into that again, can you let me know which ideas you're having problems with?

After trying to go through all of the submissions, my computer (much less my smartphone), cable internet connection, Quirky's servers and I just can't keep up with the scrolling. I'm sure I sound like a broken record but I think the submissions for just that day/date should populate the scrolling list on the front page. Then a calendar above to select the 30 days back of active submissions with a submission count on each day (excluding current day). Arrows move the months and grayed out calendar for submissions past 30 days that you can view but not vote on. Please do something like this to make it more manageable and easy. I like visiting Quirky at different times throughout the day but this isn't my full time job. A lot of time is wasted getting back to my previous point where I left off. We know what was already submitted and the unknown is what will be submitted. So let's make it quick and easy to navigate the known. Thanks. Keep up the good work.

There's gonna be LOTS of ideas submitted. Bookmarking and being able to scrll through My Favs would be good.

Is there a way when I am reviewing products that I can just go in and out of the list of products where I left off rather than always starting at the top? Very frustrating!

Hi! I'm new here - saw the show last night and love what you're doing! Can't wait to make my 1st submission. I've been getting frustrated while browsing other submissions as when I go to look at comments and click back I'm taken right back to the beginning instead of where I left off.

No return after checking comments.-
Hey Shannon. Hopefully this helps you out a little with that. Another thing you can do is open up ideas in new tabs in your browser.

Wouldn't it make sense to separate the ideations that you already viewed from the ones you haven't or at least mark them as viewed already?
Would anyone else like to save time by not having to look through ideations that you have already viewed and sometimes even voted for already?

Update Quirky website by moving viewed ideation to a viewed folder. Move voted submissions to a voted folder, too.. -

So, we need to look through ideas and give our input right? Well when we look at new ideas and vote or comment and then want to go back to the main list and keep reviewing it brings us back to the first one!!!! More than annoying and makes us want to log off rather than go through everything we already looked at! So, somehow let us to go back to the place we were and not from the beginning!!!!

Hey Michelle. Sorry for the frustrations that it's causing. While pressing back does reload the page, try using the solutions in this topic and seeing if that helps you with navigating. Another thing you can try is when you see an idea you want to view, open it up in a new tab on your browser--that way you can still have the Participate page open to keep your spot.
